Once the screen protector cutting machine has powered on, and you already have the universal screen protector films, how to make your own mobile phone screen protector?
If you have not set up your cutting machine, make sure you check out our unboxing video before moving on.
We’ll need to connect the screen protector cutting machine to a WiFi network. This will allow the machine to access all of the online templates. Currently MYCUT Cloud Server database has over 20,000 templates of cell phones, tablets, watches, car accessories, etc.
You will be prompted to set up a network, go ahead and select your local WiFi network and enter the password, press connect, once you are connected back out to the main menu by pressing the arrow in the top left corner.

The screen may prompt you to update the software version if it does just press confirm. Finally, we are going to register and fill in user information, press confirm, to save. Do not worry about entering your mobile phone number and email address as they are not required for the initial setup, lastly hit save.
Now your cutting machine is set up and ready to cut a screen protection. Head over to our making operation.
To make a screen protector with the machine, we’re going to start by heading over to the menu screen and from there selecting mobile phone. Now you can use the search bar to find your phone or find it manually by selecting the make of the phone, in this example our customer has a Huawei mate 30. So, we’ll start the process by selecting Huawei, and search mate30 in the search bar.
At this point you’ll be presented with multiple cut options, we could choose front film(matte), but for most customers, you’ll want to select front case friendly pg where possible, otherwise select front case friendly, this will ensure that there is enough room on the sides of screen to accommodate any existing or future phone case, if you’re using a matte film please be sure to select matter case friendly as this will ensure that there is a cutout over the front facing camera which matte film can abstract.
Then we are going to insert a matte screen protector film sheet. Our screen protector cutting machine is with auto feeding film function. Please make sure the film letter printed side up, an easy way to remember is the logo should be closest to the screen side or opposite direction, carefully place the sheet between the guides of the machine and push forward straight over the sensor until the machine grabs the film.
If for any reason you need to take the film out, you can hold the eject button on the menu or push the film release lever on the back of the machine down, and pull it back up once the film is free. Once the machine has taken the film and it’s straight you are ready to make the cut.
Hit “start cutting” to begin the process. After a few seconds, the machine finishes the cutting, and ejects the film. And that is it, you are ready to install this freshly cut screen protection on your customer’s phone.
How to make your own screen protector with the screen protector cutting machine?
Let’s recap the 3 key steps:
- find the phone model in the searching bar or manually
- select Front Case, Front Case(matte), or Front Case Friendly PG for most applications
- Insert the film Letter Printed SIDE UP with the logo closest or opposite to the screen
It is really that easy if you can remember those three things, I promise you’ll have this down in no time. Now it is time to head over our installing screen protection and show you step by step how to install the screen protection.
Before we begin, here are a few things from your accessories kit that you will need to complete the install, an installation mat, a squeegee and a microfiber cloth. Then grab a cleaning kit included with the screen protector film which will include a wet wipe and a dust remover sticker.
The last thing you need, a screen protector fresh cut of course so follows me to get started, make sure there is no cases or screen protection on your customer’s phone before beginning.
We are placing the phone on the installation map. It’s important to use the included map because it keeps their phone from slipping and sliding around during installation, and no one wants that, go ahead and grab your wet wipe, we are going to thoroughly clean the screen with a good wipe down.
Next, we’re going to dry the screen with the microfiber cloth, remember guys and gals, do not throw this cloth away as you will need it for future installs, finally if you are seeing any remaining dust or debris, just use the dust remover sticker to take care of it.
If there is actually a little bit that just landed on this phone, but it is not a big deal with my dust remover sticker. Once the phone is spotless it’s time to grab our freshly cut screen protection. You are going to want to use two hands to bend down on the long sides of the cut sheet, make sure that the screen protector stays flat.
By the way, if your screen protector has small cutouts for the speaker, camera lens or the microphone, please use the tweezers to poke those out before you install the screen protector, okay it is time to line up the screen protector with the phone you can eyeball the placement off of the camera, the microphone or the home button if it has one, the center of the screen protector has adhesive which will keep it in place while we line everything up.
Once you have it where you want it use your finger to gently push it down. Next is really important, we’re going to lift up one side of the screen protection, your other hand grab the squeegee, you can see the center line we’re going to place our squeegee just a little bit behind it.
And when you ready, go ahead and push over the center line, this will also push the backing out. Then, flip it around to the other side, now we can start a little bit behind this side of the center line, pull up the screen protection, and push over the center line again, at this point, take the squeegee and work out any of the air bubbles in the middle section, it is definitely easier to push bubbles out before removing the top film, so try to get out as many as you can at this step.
Please note be careful not to apply too much pressure on the squeegee, or else you may end up stretching the film, even if it looks good, the uneven pressure may end up causing wrinkling in the screen protection later, just say no to wrinkling.
Okay, now we’re ready to pull up the top film, and we’ put the finishing touches on this install by taking the cleaning cloth and moving out any remaining air bubbles. And do not worry if you have seemingly impossible air bubbles, they should disappear within 24 hours. This looks really good.
Installation the freshly cut screen protector 4 key steps:
- Begin the installation with bare phone (no case no existing screen protection, make sure to clean the phone thoroughly)
- Clean the customer’s phone thoroughly.
- Push over the center line with the squeegee
- Do not apply too much pressure with the squeegee
